03The 7 best AI tools for Pinterest, reviewed
SiteToSocial: best AI for pins from your own website
Every step of a pin is AI-driven on SiteToSocial: it reads the page, lists the phrases people search for and checks them against Pinterest's own search volume (English) or what is trending (other languages), writes the title, description, hashtags and alt text in any of 54 languages, designs the pin from your photos and posts it. On Premium Lite, Premium and Premium+ the AI also draws new images for articles, 5, 10 or up to 15 a day (SiteToSocial).
Why it ranks first: its AI works from Pinterest's search data and from your actual pages, so each pin is aimed at a real search and leads to a page that delivers it. 04What AI does well on Pinterest, and what to check
AI is strongest at the repetitive parts of Pinterest: matching titles and descriptions to searched phrases, making several pin variations for one page, resizing images to 2:3 and writing alt text. What it cannot judge for you is whether the pin is true to the page, or which searches matter for your goal; that comes from the strategy behind the pins. Three checks keep AI pins working:
- The pin matches its page. Pinterest advises that the images, text and keywords on a pin should match the landing page (Pinterest help).
- No near-duplicates. Pinterest warns that repeatedly saving the same pins or uploading content that already exists can get an account flagged as spam, so vary images and target searches.
- Ads are labelled. When you promote a pin, Ads Manager asks whether the ad is AI-modified and whether it contains an AI-generated person (Pinterest help).
For bloggers, the routine in our Pinterest guide for bloggers shows where AI fits around a weekly publishing rhythm.
05Questions people ask
What is the best AI tool for Pinterest marketing?
On our scoring, SiteToSocial. Its AI reads each page of your website, picks the phrases people search on Pinterest using Pinterest's own search data, writes the pin text in 54 languages and, on its AI plans, draws new images, then posts the pins every day. Tailwind is second for people who want AI help while staying closer to each pin.
Can AI make Pinterest pins for me?
Yes. Several tools here write pin titles and descriptions and design or generate the images. The ones that start from your own pages, such as SiteToSocial, Tailwind's SmartPin and Pin Generator, keep each pin tied to a page that delivers what it shows, which matters more on Pinterest than clever wording.
Are AI-generated pins allowed on Pinterest?
Nothing in the Pinterest help pages we reviewed for this guide forbids pins made with AI. When you promote a pin, Ads Manager asks you to mark whether the ad is AI-modified and whether it contains an AI-generated person. For any pin, Pinterest's own advice still applies: match the pin to its landing page and avoid publishing duplicates, which it says can be flagged as spam.
Is there a free AI tool for Pinterest?
A few. SiteToSocial's free tools include an AI title and description generator and an alt text generator, three uses a day each. Canva's free plan includes limited AI, and Buffer's free plan includes its AI Assistant. Pinterest Performance+ costs nothing extra, but it only works with paid ads.
Does AI help with Pinterest ads?
Pinterest builds it in. Performance+ automates bidding several times a day, can extend your targeting to related keywords and interests, and for catalog campaigns can generate backgrounds and turn product pins into collections and shopping ads. Our Pinterest ads strategy covers when to use it.
